"We need to have a population health approach and reduce people's contact job insecurity," she said.

But the brand new study is one thing to keep in mind for anyone facing job insecurity - especially individuals who are already at dangerous for diabetes, like men and women that are overweight and ladies who temporarily developed diabetes while being pregnant, said Edwin Torres, of Montefiore Health System in New York City.

"This can be a phenomenon I’ve viewed as a provider and within the literature," said Torres, who has been not involved with the brand new study, but is usually a nurse practitioner completing his PhD about the subject at Binghamton University in New York.

"If you lose your task or have job insecurity, ensure that you're exercising," he was quoted saying.
